Governance
Monjasa operates across jurisdictions and cultures in compliance with all current legislation. Our work is rooted in our strong company culture based on open dialogues, trust and transparency as the foundation for our leading industry governance position.
We aim to apply industry best practices on sanctions compliance and continuously improve our processes to meet regulators’ expectations.
RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS CONDUCT
As a global company and a top ten marine fuels supplier, we have a responsibility to ensure that we conduct a responsible business across our value chain. The Monjasa Code of Conduct for Business Partners sets a global standard for how we engage with those we do business with and helps us operate openly, honestly and ethically. The Code of Conduct applies to all counterparties with whom we do business, and we expect our business partners to follow the same ethical business conduct.
WORKING TO ELIMINATE BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION
Monjasa has a zero tolerance towards bribery and corruption practices, and we actively work to build awareness and educate both our employees and counterparties to ensure full transparency in everything we do. By tightening our internal policies and linking our work closely with the Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN), we are doing our utmost to prevent corruption and bribery.
UPHOLDING STRONG GOVERNANCE
We conduct ongoing reviews and developments of our policies, procedures and systems to ensure that we can proactively navigate the ever-changing sanctions compliance landscape. At the same time, our focus is on driving industry awareness and building knowledge to mitigate sanctions risks.
