Kicking off the MOST programme

These days we welcome our first batch Monjasa Oil & Shipping Trainees (MOST) representing Monjasa offices in the US, Cyprus, Denmark and Singapore.

Over the next two years, our seven new trainees are offered a unique opportunity to build an international career working across Monjasa offices and markets.

Building personal relations from the get-go

Early Friday morning, we kicked-off the collective introduction programme of Jin, Danish, Constandinos, Thomas, Luke, Anders and Asker at our office in Fredericia, Denmark.

This consists of introductory sessions to various departments in the organisation situated in Fredericia and Copenhagen, teambuilding sessions, development activities as well as some educational excursions.

The first day included a thorough introduction to our values and corporate purpose by Monjasa Group COO, Svend Mølholt. The remainder of the day and all weekend continued with teambuilding activities including various communication exercises supported by deeper understanding of various personality types, setting up an outdoor cuisine and night shelter – and of course getting on the water for sailing and different kinds of water sports.

So, we are excited to introduce our seven carefully selected new MOST trainees to our business partners.

  • Jin Yang – Singapore
  • Danish Fadzion – Singapore
  • Asker Hjersing, Fredericia, Denmark
  • Anders Nørgaard Blushøj, Fredericia Denmark
  • Luke Christian Brown – Fredericia, Denmark
  • Thomas Cirillo – Stamford, US

Our young candidates will complete rotation periods in Monjasa’s offices around the world, which will help improve understanding of different business contexts and cultures. At the same time, all trainees are enrolled in a two-year education, The Commercial Shipping Programme, at the Danish Shipping Academy.
