In September 2016, Monjasa signed a declaration with Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and the United for Wildlife Transportation Taskforce, which was setup by Buckingham Palace to support the fight against illegal transportation of wildlife.
At Monjasa, we believe that our global presence and reach allows us to contribute to the development of global trade as well as the local communities we are engaged in. Taking part in global and local developments is a priority, not only commercially, but also from a corporate social responsibility point of view.
This commitment involves the protection and conservation of the world’s natural environment and biodiversity and at Monjasa, we have zero tolerance towards the harm of wild animals, including the illegal transportation or trade in such wildlife or wildlife products.
Helping raise awareness
As part of this Taskforce, we are raising awareness to help prevent critically endangered species being wiped out, this includes educating our employees and the local communities we operate in. We take our duty of care seriously and it is our aim to spread the word on the illegal trade of wildlife, speaking on behalf of those who do not have a voice.
It is of utmost importance to our business that those who work with us conduct their business in a socially responsible and ethical manner, this includes employees, customers, and suppliers.
We believe in building business relationships through honesty, trust and respect which we strive to incorporate in everything we do.
